At The Car Key Depot, we stock a growing range of replacement key cases. Our range covers a variety of vehicle makes and models. These products provide a simple and cost-effective solution for repairing worn, damaged or broken car/van keys.
These replacement housings are ideal for common issues such as worn buttons, cracked casings or general wear and tear.
Our cases consist of the outer shell only. They do not include electronics, transponder chips, batteries, or remote circuit boards. Auto locksmiths can transfer the existing components into the new housing, restoring the appearance and functionality without the need to re-programme.

- Do replacement key cases include the electronics?
- No. Our replacement housings include the outer shell only. Please check the individual product description to see exactly what is included before ordering.
- Can I transfer the original components into a new housing?
- Yes. In many cases, the existing remote circuit board, transponder chip and battery can be transferred into the new housing. This helps restore the appearance and functionality of the original key without the need to re-programme. While the key is apart, it’s also worth fitting a fresh battery to help maximise reliability and battery life (Shop batteries)
- When should I replace the housing instead of the complete key?
- If the electronics still work correctly but the outer shell has become worn or damaged, replacing the housing is often the most cost-effective solution.
