Our Returns and Refunds Policy

At The Car Key Depot, we aim to ensure our customers are fully satisfied with the professional tools and equipment we supply to automotive locksmiths across the UK. If for any reason you need to return an item, please read the policy below carefully. 

Returns

Customers may return new and unused items for a refund within 28 days of the purchase date. Please note:

  • Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a resalable condition – all items will be manually inspected before a refund or exchange can be processed.
  • Faulty items may also be returned for a refund or exchange
  • We cannot offer refunds for products that do not function due to: 
    • Incorrect programming 
    • Wrong part selection or ordering error 

Before sending anything back to us, you must contact us using our returns form below.

Please provide the following details:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return 

Any returns sent without this information cannot be processed. 

Refunds

Refunds are only issued for unused items returned within 28 days of receiving your order. Please note the following:

  • We refund the item purchase price only – shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Unless your product is being returned for being faulty, there will be a £2.00 re-stocking administration fee per item, which will be deducted from the amount refunded.
  • Refunds will only be made to the original payment method, we do not issue store credit.
  • Refunds will be processed promptly, please allow for up to 10 working days for completion.

None of the above will affect your statutory rights.

We do not currently offer a returns address. If a return is approved, we will provide the correct return instructions by email.
